International Certification Body

Source Certification

Source certification is the process of providing theoretical and practical training to welders in manufacturing businesses that perform welding, ensuring the methods used are in accordance with the welding techniques, and certifying them with internationally recognized validity. Source certification is carried out according to various standards, the most important of which are TS EN 9606-1 and EN 1090.

In the source certification process, it is known that welders are subjected to both theoretical and practical exams, and those who pass are awarded certificates. Additionally, tests such as the Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) are also conducted. WPQR is a document that, according to standards, confirms the compliance of the welding method, material group, and welding material to the project’s standard. It shows that the welding has been performed according to ASME or EN codes, that non-destructive and destructive tests have been carried out, and that the results are satisfactory.
